All India Achievers Foundation, New Delhi has conferred Rashmi Tapadia of Touch of Class Paithani Sarees with the

INDIAN ACHIEVERS AWARD FOR QUALITY EXCELLENCE.

She is nominated by nation-wide selection process. Award is the recognition of her work and efforts to bridge the Paithani Artisans and consumers while achieving the outstanding quality excellence and workmanship in each Paithani she makes. Award will be given at the ceremony event titled "National Economic Development & Social Responsibilities" on February 2012 at New Delhi, India.

Rashmi Tapadia has been conferred the ASSOCHAM-IMC WOMEN HERITAGE AWARD 2010. The award was presented by Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Government of India, and Smt. Swati Piramal, President, ASSOCHAM on 23 February, 2010 at a ceremony held at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi. The awards were instituted by ASSOCHAM to applaud the efforts of women entrepreneurs.

The award ceremony coincided with Women Entrepreneurs 2010 exhibition, a joint venture of IMC Ladies’ Wing and ASSOCHAM. The highlight of the exhibition was the presence of the heritage women weavers who through their passion, talent and perseverance have strived to keep Indian tradition alive, despite many challenges.

Rashmi Tapadia of Touch Class Paithani Sarees from Pune, Maharashtra was one amongst ten women entrepreneurs from the weaving and saree-making industry, some of the others being Afroz Jahan from Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, S. Ahalya of Sarangi from Chennai, Deepa and Devika from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Jamini Payeng of Das Handloom and Handicraft from Haropara, Assam, North East Network, Nagaland of Chizami Weaves, Sally Holkar of WomenWeave from Mumbai, Maharashtra,   Shamlu Dudeja of Malika’s Kantha Collection from Kolkata, Sulochana Salvi of Patan Patola from Baroda, Gujarat and Sunita Burad of Mangalmayee from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
